Burritos, Books & Bunny

Saturday, April 18, 2009 ·

These are our good finds yesterday. We didn't follow our regular routine. Instead we went to Dubai Mall because we're craving for Taco Bell. We enjoyed Taco Bell immensely that we even brought home burritos and quesadillas. :) It was just our second time in Dubai Mall, the first time we were so disappointed because most of the shops are still close. Yesterday was different, though. To our great delight, we found out there's a Kinokuniya bookstore in the mall. And this one is a really BIG bookstore. I think this is the biggest bookstore in the middle east. We were giddy with excitement as we went inside the store. There's a huge section for magazines and newspaper alone and there's a wide selection of books in all categories. From bestsellers to medical books, the selection is endless. I bet you will even find books specific to mesothelioma. I can stay there the whole day and never get bored. The children's books section is especially good as it is situated on the side where there's a stunning view of Downtown Burj Dubai; the place is ideal for just hanging around and enjoying a good book. We left the store with two Dr. Seuss books for Miguel, a Yancey book for myself and an engineering book for Nico. And the best part is--I found a copy of The Runaway Bunny, the book that Miguel has been wanting to read since Goodnight Moon. :)
