This week at Mommy Moments, Chris suggests we share photos and stories of the time our kid/s got sick. Sad to say, Miguel has had several hospitalizations and ER visits in the past, mostly due to asthma attacks and dehydration. Whenever he gets sick, he vomits, and can't hold down liquid kaya usually kailangan i-dextrose. Good thing we have a very reliable and caring doctor in Manila who doesn't mind being disturbed with early morning frantic calls and text messages from yours truly! :)
Out of the 4 or 5 times he's been admitted, the worst was in September 2008 when he contacted pneumonia from our seatmate in the plane. We spent one full week at the hospital, five days of which he practically lived on dextrose. Read full account here. Thankfully, since moving to Dubai, he's only had one minor hospitalization for IV purposes when he had tummy flu, and he's been asthma-free since. :)

aww...hirap talaga kapag may asthma mga kids. kapag may asthma attack sila...parang...sana tayo na lang. but i hope that his condition gets better.

sigh.. this is really a sad mommy moment, isnt it?
well thank God that he gives us strength and resources when this happens to us moms!
