Getting Physical

Tuesday, July 14, 2009 ·

I realized I've been too physically inactive for the past year when I first stepped on the threadmill several weeks ago. I started with a 10-minute warm up with the speed level gradually rising to 6. Warm up should be followed by 30 minutes of work out but when I started running at speed 7 I could only last two minutes! I had to slow down after two minutes as it felt like my heart was ready to explode.

Several sessions later, I still couldn't do more than three minutes of workout. I felt even more insecure when another guy who's about 50 years old already could do a full 20-minute workout. Anyway, I know I need to do it gradually. Getting my lazy bones all worked up again may not be the easiest thing to accomplish but I'm determined to get physically fit so I visit the gym at least three times a week.

Morning sessions, though, aren't very productive at all since I have to take Miguel with me. He usually ends up trying out the different exercise machines, while I follow his every move to make sure he doesn't wear himself out too much. Why, he even attempts to lift weights! If he continues to take interest in physical exercise when he grows up, I bet he'll never need to use phosphacore and other diet pills.

Here are some photos I took yesterday.

So pano ka nagwowork out sa hapon? What does Miguel do while you're in the gym?

Me too, I really need to start exercising na. Ang sisikip na talaga ng damit ko. :-( Hirap lang kasi di naman ako enrolled sa gym, so my only choice is to run after office. Kaso lagi umuulan! Hay.

Pictures naman of Miguel in the playground! Tsaka sa pool!

Hi Issa! mabuti ka pa, your gym is operational. dito, never haha.

Thank you so much for the visits and the comments. re you laptop: maybe you can try getting an external hard disk to save your photos, etc., para ma-unload yung laptop.

Enjoy the long weekend and kisses to Miguel!
