Round the Neighborhood

Tuesday, July 28, 2009 ·

Recently, Miguel has been waking up earlier than usual so I take him out for a walk around the neighborhood while the weather is still not too hot. This morning we were out around 640am. The weather was perfect. It was a windy morning.

I walked, ran, jogged, hopped--depending on Miguel's pace. We went to the "deep, dark woods", as he calls it, because it's lined with trees and bushes (it's actually the path that divides each building cluster). His plan was to collect seeds, leaves and sticks and hopefully to catch a bird or two. I suggested he start with tutubi pero bird ang gusto. Fine.

Then we went to the lakeside where he watched the lil fishies swim. This area has plenty of trees and shade and is a perfect path for joggers.

Now I don't need to dream of expensive vegas vacations. Few minutes outdoors is all I need to recharge.
