I've written about it here only a few times and very vaguely at that as I am trying to keep this blog focused on its main subject--my little boy. But I've decided that this piece of news is too good to be kept to myself so I'm sharing it here as well.
We've been approved for permanent residency in Canada! *big smile*. And all without the use of immigration consultants, no interviews or personal appearance whatsoever. It took us almost 3 years of wait since we filed our application in 2006 until today but since we filed it under the simplified process, it only took us less than a year for document preparation, submission and correspondence from start to finish (the first two years were basically just the waiting time).
We've prayed about it, and we are so thankful it was given to us. We have mixed emotions about migrating-- happy that finally we will be settling permanently, and sad to leave family behind. But let me not spoil this post by making it too emotional. There's time for that in the future. :D For now, I'm only wondering how we are ever gonna survive winter. I'm excited to buy winter coats and boots but perhaps I should consider getting electric blanket as well! :)

About Me
First and foremost, a mom. Secondary roles include being a housewife (and househelp!), sister and daughter. Social life non-existent; surviving through virtual friendships. Hoping to see the workplace again someday. Dreaming of re-connecting to the world. Meanwhile, I am a mother with a whole lot of stories to tell About a Boy.
