Conversations with Miguel, Part 4

Sunday, October 25, 2009 ·

We were having dinner last night, feasting on cream dory in lemon-butter sauce and steamed vegetables (we're having more fish and veggies so we won't need to take diet pill), while having a fun conversation. As usual, the discussion was dominated by Miguel who seemed never to run out of things to say (usually about workmen and crane and backhoe and other construction stuff). If I talk to Nico about another topic, he would twist my head on his direction and would say "stop" and then he would continue with his chatter. And then I thought of asking if it's ok with him to drink his milk from a glass instead of a bottle, and he said yes. So Nico said "ok we will buy you a sippy cup, then". Miguel asked what a sippy cup is (although he already had one before) and we explained that it's a cup with a spout instead of a nipple. Unsatisfied, he asked "what is a spout?" and Nico answered (based on the context of the discussion) that "a spout is something that you put in your mouth." Miguel thought for a while then added "...so the spider can climb up." We laughed, and he sang the whole eensy-weensy song. It was a pleasant dinner. :)
